Sree Narayana Guru College of Commerce is one of the pioneering institutions started in the year 1986 in the central suburb, where largely the underprivileged people live, to offer higher education to the students for whom higher education was a far-fetched reality. Today, students from all community and background seek admission to various programmes offered in our College. The College aims mainly at academic excellence, all round development of students’ personality, inculcating moral and ethical values in them.
We uphold the principles of Sree Narayana Guru and leave no stones unturned to see that our College is an ideal learning centre for students coming from all strata of the society.
The College has good infrastructural facilities along with competent and dedicated faculty who strives for all round development of every student. The College also organizes regularly extra-curricular activities to bring out the hidden talent of the students.
The College introduced the National University Students’ Skill Development (NUSSD) Programme under the guidance and collaboration of Tata Institute of Social Sciences for our undergraduate students free of cost. This will enable our students to enhance employment potential gaining skills. Around 32% of our undergraduate students joined for the NUSSD skill development programme and conducted very systematically. It helped 74 of our third year students to get good job offers from 11 reputed companies in the last academic year through campus recruitment drive organized by the College.
