Introduction :A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program typically takes three to four years depending on the country. This degree is primarily focused on subjects such as software, databases, and networking. In general, computer science degrees tend to focus on the mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasizing specific technologies. The degree is a Bachelor of Science degree with institutions conferring degrees in the fields of information technology and related fields. This degree is awarded for completing a program of study in the field of software development, software testing, software engineering, web design, databases, programming, computer networking and computer systems
Eligibility :(1)A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree programme of B.Sc. (I.T.), shall have passed XII Std. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates)
(2)A candidate who have passed diploma (Three years after S.S.C.) in Information Technology/Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Electrical/Electronics and Video Engineering and allied branches, Civil and allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the Second year of B. Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Govt. Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.
(3)Candidates with post HSC-Diploma in information technology/Computer technology/Computer engineering/Computer engineering/Computer science and allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the second year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) degree course. However, the diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Govt. Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.)
